 I trained as an Industrial Designer leaving college in 1971
to persue a career in Architecture and Design working for

prior to establishing an Architectural and Interior Design Consultancy in 1984
trading as

David Appleyard Design Consultant

I first embraced technology with the purchase of a computer system in 1990,
an Apple Macintosh with 21" and 14" monitors and an A4 LaserJet Printer,
using Microsoft Office and MiniCAD 3D software supplied on floppy disks.

The onset of "The Beer Orders" finally saw my Design Consultancy close in1999.
I have since worked in Architecture as an Architectural Technologist
and
took on a major personal project to build a website to my late father,
Joseph Appleyard (1908 - 1960)
a prolific sporting and landscape artist in the 1940's and 1950's,
the completion of which saw me complete a painting a month,
finally bringing about my first solo exhibition in October 2004.
